About Us
Founded in memory of Marine Mike Munding, we exist to stand behind first responders, veterans, and the families who carry the weight of their service.
A Legacy of Service, Honored
Honored25 was created to support the heroic members of our community that are enduring the unimaginable weight brought on by the nature of the things they see on the job. Our mission is to support both the first responders/military members, along with offering resources to include each family member that they come home to. From appreciation events, to wellness events for the family, we aim to help them process what they are seeing and know they are backed by the communities they serve so they can go on to have a long, healthy career, and be able to thrive when they retire.
Meet The Founder
Hi, my name is Kristin Munding and I am the founder and CEO of Honored 25. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and married my high school sweetheart in 2001. My husband Mike went into the Marine Corps and proudly served our country in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon his return, we went on to have two amazing sons, and raised our family, all while Mike was quietly struggling with PTSD. In 2018, I was involved in the tragic One October shooting. During such a scary time, I saw first hand the bravery and personal sacrifice of so many first responders.
After that event, I began going into the local stations and thanking our first responders for their willingness to put their lives on the line. In 2023, after a long battle with PTSD and related addiction to numb the symptoms, my husband Mike took his own life. It has taken a tremendous toll on our family. My husband did not want to burden us with his struggles, and ultimately it took him from us. A man who was an exceptional Marine, and ultra marathoner, and an amazing husband and father, is no longer with us, and I have made it my mission to support and offer resources to our community of heroic families, so hopefully they don’t have to go through the loss that we endure daily. I realized that while “thank you” is appreciated, our first responders and military members and their family need tangible tools to be able to manage the unimaginable trauma they endure on the jobs. It has been healing to me to share our story and help understand the toll that jobs in these fields can put on their relationships.
